A garden is not just a collection of plants; it is a place where life happens. It holds the quiet moments of morning, the laughter of friends in the evening, and the passing of the seasons written softly in leaves and flowers. Over time it becomes a living memory of everyone who has walked through it.

- Monty Don, My Garden World

A Place to Grow and Belong
For thirty years 791 Emerson Court has been more than a house — it has been the heart of our family’s life. This is the HOME where we raised our two sons, shared everyday moments with neighbors who became lifelong friends, and created countless memories that will always stay with us.

One of the most special aspects of the home is its quiet cul-de-sac setting, where children could safely play outside while neighbors gathered and watched over the neighborhood together. It created a sense of community that is increasingly rare today.

Being so close to Mission San Jose High School was another wonderful blessing. Our children were able to walk to school, which gave them independence and made daily life easier. During their times at Chadbourne Elementary and Hopkins Middle Schools, we carpooled with nearby families, turning school mornings into another way to strengthen friendships and build community.

If you are wondering how the schools Rank:

- Chadbourne Elementary (9 Rating/10 Test)
- Hopkins Middle (9 Rating/10 Test)
- Mission San Jose High (10 Rating/10 Test)

Over the years, this home has truly been a place where family life unfolded naturally — from childhood adventures in the street to quiet evenings with neighbors and friends.

A Yard Meant for Gatherings
Entertaining has always been a big part of life here, and the home has been the setting for many of our most cherished family gatherings. The layout offers the perfect balance — open enough for guests to mingle comfortably, yet intimate enough to always feel warm and connected.

Our backyard is truly a favorite among everyone who visits. During gatherings, people naturally drift between the indoor and outdoor spaces, enjoying conversation, laughter, and the relaxed atmosphere the property creates.

The yard has hosted countless celebrations, including several memorable parties where we even welcomed a food truck through the side gates — something made easy by the home’s two backyard entrances that allow convenient access for entertaining and special events.

The garden itself holds many memories as well. Over the years we planted herbs, flowers, and a collection of fruit trees, which not only provide delicious seasonal harvests but also serve as reminders of the many afternoons spent gardening and enjoying the outdoor space.

It’s a home that has always felt alive with celebration, connection, and joy.

Views and Everyday Nature
One of the most breathtaking features of this home is the unobstructed view of the sky and surrounding hills. Sunrises and sunsets here are truly special moments — the kind that naturally pause your day and invite you to appreciate the beauty around you.

In the spring, the nearby hills turn a stunning velvety green, creating a peaceful backdrop that changes with the seasons. The backyard borders an easement, ensuring both privacy and the comfort of knowing that no homes will be built directly behind the property.

From our position at the end of the cul-de-sac, we have also enjoyed spectacular views of Mission Peak, a sight that never grows old. It has even become the backdrop for our annual neighborhood barbecues, where friends gather to celebrate the simple joy of community.

Just a three-minute walk away, Sabercat Historical Park offers beautiful walking trails that we have enjoyed throughout the years. Whether it’s a quiet morning stroll or an evening walk with neighbors, the park has always been a wonderful extension of the neighborhood lifestyle.

Letting go of this home is not easy for us. It has been the setting for so many meaningful chapters of our lives. Our hope is that the next owners will experience the same warmth, connection, and happiness that this special home has given our family for the past three decades.

We are so excited to see what memories this Home and Community have in store for you!!

Upgrades made to improve the home so far...
Over the years, the homeowners thoughtfully improved and modernized the property to create a comfortable, welcoming space both inside and out. The kitchen was remodeled with updated cabinetry, granite counters, and improved functionality for everyday living and entertaining. Beautiful hardwood floors now run throughout the living room, kitchen, and family room, creating a warm and cohesive feel. Both bathrooms were remodeled at different times, adding refreshed finishes and thoughtful updates.

Several structural and lifestyle upgrades were also completed, including a new roof, a new central heating and air conditioning system, and a new front door that enhances the home’s curb appeal. In the family room, the original wood-burning fireplace was removed to allow for the addition of a patio door, bringing in more natural light and providing easy access to the backyard. The living room fireplace was also upgraded with a modern gas insert for comfort and convenience.

Outside, the homeowners replaced the original wooden deck with elegant flagstone, creating a beautiful and durable outdoor space. The front yard was enhanced with a new walkway and landscaping improvements, while brick elements on the exterior were updated with smooth stucco for a clean, refreshed look. The garage was finished with built-in cabinets and a new garage door, offering excellent storage and practicality. Together, these updates reflect years of care and thoughtful investment in the home.
